PERL Coding Practices

I got a really good email from my mentor regarding coding suggestions and coding practices in PERL/bioperl. I am very self taught when it comes to coding, and PERL is a very vulgar programming language, so it is good for me too see how other folks are implementing standards. This seems very important with group open source projects.
